Do Or Die

Last night was my book group meeting. I hadn't gone in two weeks - shame on me - but I went and it was good. I hung out with Fellow Seeker first, though. We spent over an hour sitting in a pizzeria, discussing literature and playing Jeopardy (it was on TV, he got the Final Jeopardy question on English Literature and I didn't, I was so embarrassed *hangs head in shame*). Anyway, just before I left to go to my book group meeting, we were in a bookstore and I found a book called The Brick Testament that recreated scenes from the Bible using legos. It was, by far, the coolest thing I have seen in quite some time. The one we saw was on Moses's life, and it included the Ten Commandments. At the end of almost every one, it was like "Do this ... or you shall die," and the guy had dead lego people with red lego blood. Funny stuff. (If you're interested, click on that link. All of the pictures are on that website. The only ones that aren't are the funny "You shall be put to death" ones.)

What a lovely precursor to my meeting. We discussed Chapter 4 of A Case for Faith by Lee Strobel. I had read it before, and I reread the chapter for last night. It was good and I brought up some discussion points, but I decided not to be a troublemaker for once, so I didn't bring up too many pointed questions. I decided to tell anecdotes instead - the Biblical legos and the crazy-Christian-on-a-bus story were my main contributions to the meeting.

Those legos are so neat, and kinda hilarious! I love the burning bush and baby Moses in the basket. Too funny. Thanks for sharing!!
