However, Christ, the authentic Source, reveals to us the Father.
While the name "Father" conjures up imagery, it is more than just an image because Christ names for us the First Person of the Trinity as Father in order to express the relationship we have with the Triune God. From the mouth of the Word of God we gain this insight which we would not have gained on our own and thus we must be faith to the teachings of Christ and when we pray say "Our Father..."
